Had a little problem with setting up this printer instructions could be a little more clear and bigger that would help only had it for a weekWe brought an upgraded version of this printer for office use. I was so impressed, I decided to buy a lesser version for home. The main attraction is the seemingly never-ending ink cartridges. Brother says they can last up to a year. This is great for people who only occasionally print documents as the cartridges don't dry out. That's the end of the good. This unit comes with a wireless interface but strangely enough no wired ethernet connection. Instead, you have to connect with an extra-long USB cable. Without the USB connection, the printer doesn't seem to recognize the wireless so initial setup is virtually impossible. No worries. The next (and biggest) problem is with firmware upgrades. The geniuses at Brother decided that this should be a password protected function. You know, incase theives decide to break into your home and upgrade you firmware :Z. I contacted Brother customer service to find out where the password could be found. I was immediately tranfered to a pay site. For just 1 dollar they would tell you followed by a monthly charge of 46 dollars a month. I'm not kidding. Forty six dollars a month to service this P.O.S. I wouldn't mind if the printer was broken but this is just to get the password. So far, I have been unable to find the users manual online so I guess I won't be updating the firmware anytime soon. Never again.Received my first order for the Brother INKvestment Tank MFC-J4335DWB. Pretty easy to set up.From the first print, Was impressed with the quality and speed of printing. Had a problem with the unit jamming and making a noise.I contacted seller for a replacement or refund. Both were offered. I chose to replace the machine and within a few days, it was delivered, no problem.No hassle . The second unit has been working flawlessly. Used in my home office .Wife is Realtor so we are Keeping the machine busy printing.I can recommend this product and seller if you are looking for a great printer. As a bonus, the machine comes with a years supply of easy to install ink (I am sure it might last longer with general use)Shipment was flawless. Well packed machine delivered by UPS in this case. Great work .Way too many steps to save a scanned file.One page at a time.The wireless printer won't pick up our signal. ?I'm so disappointed. I should have gone with the EcoTank by Epson bc, at least this Inkvestment model, still costs a minimum of $100 in cartridge replacements when you run out of ink, which was less than 3 months after purchase since the 1yr of ink in the box was no different than every other starter cartridge. Then when I start searching for deals on ink and learn that there are no substitutes on the market, and they can't just be refilled like the others, I can only purchase OEM cartridges at $25-$35 each. I am honestly considering buying something else and just counting it as a lossBought in August 2021. Only interested in the printing and scanning features, and everything worked beautifully UNTIL an Update notification appeared for the iPrint&Scan feature in either November or December 2021. After clicking on Update, I never was able to use the iPrint&Scan feature again because it refused to install, saying to verify that I have sufficient privilege (etc.) but never asked me to prove it but just stopped installation. It had already uninstalled the previous version, so I'm left without any feature that will scan to my laptop. I had an independent tech remote in who couldn't do it. I had a Brother tech tell me on the phone what to do but that didn't work either. So now I have to buy a different printer scanner combo.NothingGreat value for the money--arrived on time --easy to connect to WiFi. It is a little on the noisy sidehowever it is a great little printer. Exactly as described. Very pleased with it. Thank you seller.YvonneIt has exceeded my expectations!
