This is lovely crinkle-cut paper filling for gift packages. I ordered the black and gold for my granddaughter's high school graduation -- for presents as well as some centerpiece decorations I am making for her cake and gift table. I wasn't sure how much one pound would be, but I thought it must be quite a lot. And it is! It arrived packed into a sturdy box about 10.5" X 10.5" X 3.5" (note that there is no bag inside of the box). The is quite compressed and once I fluffed it up it expanded to several times the size of the box. I can easily plump it up even more, or squish it down. So, there is plenty for my needs. I would say there is at least enough to fill a dozen medium-sized gift bags or boxes or twice that many small ones. The paper is of good quality and feels quite durable. It isn't heavy-weight paper, but it is definitely not flimsy, either. The black is a soft, sooty shade with a matte finish and the gold is bright and shiny. I would say that the ratio of black to gold is about 2:1, which I think is just right as gives a really pretty look. The individual lengths of paper vary, and some are very long. Happily, there are no short or cut-off pieces and no wasted little bits in the bottom of the box. I'm very happy to have found this high-quality paper, and I will be buying more colors to have on hand for future gift giving. This is such a cost-effective way to buy crinkle-paper filler and I get about twice as much for only two or three dollars more than my usual brand (I think it was 6 or 8 ounces). Plus, I get two colors instead of just one! And, I especially like the way the metallic shreds highlight the primary color -- so many lovely combinations. I think this is definitely worth the price for someone like me that can use a lot of filler in the same color duo.
