This printer compares favorably to a Rollo printer which, at the time of this review was selling for about $40 more. Paper handling, print quality, and reliability are all the same, and unlike some others the Jadens printer has a single sided hinge that makes it easy to open, clean, and reload if needed; I have seen others that require you to press tabs on both sides to open it. Feeding new labels into the back works well too, once the printer is calibrated for the label size. , while most others have a single sided hinge that makes it easier. The Jadens printer is about the same size as the Rollo, and the black and light blue design make it as attractive – I have tried others with colorful trim that I’m not crazy about in an office environment. It is easy to set up, load, and operate and is a perfect printer.I also use my Rollo for printing occasional notes or shorter documents from Microsoft Windows applications, and I set this up on the Jadens as well. While I have had issues with other smaller brand thermal printers not handling mainstream applications, this printer handled everything I threw at it. Print quality was excellent and there do not appear to be any issues with the printer driver. There were no issues with Stamps.com postage labels or printing from PDF documents (labels from UPS cropped and sent to the printer).
